Fat Injection and Transfer

Fat can be removed via liposuction from sites such as the abdomen and thighs. This fat can then be processed and re-injected to other sites such as face, buttocks, or breast. Fat transfer can be a very useful adjunct to surgical procedures such as face lifting and breast surgery. While not all of the fat that is transferred “survives,” the fat that does remain in place is usually permanent. In the ideal candidate, fat transfer can even be a feasible alternative to filler injections. Fat transfer surgery can usually be performed in the office setting.
